# Analytics by plan

The Dewstack [Analytics](/docs/analytics-page/analytics) page is gated two ways: which of the four tabs you get, and how far back the date range can reach. With no subscription and no active trial there is no Analytics page at all – you get an upgrade screen instead.

## What each plan gets

| Plan | Tabs | Longest date range |
| --- | --- | --- |
| No subscription | None – "Analytics Unavailable" | – |
| Starter | Overview, Content | Last 30 Days |
| Pro | Overview, Content, Performance, AI Insights | Last 60 Days |
| Premium, Enterprise | Overview, Content, Performance, AI Insights | Last 6 Months (180 days) |
| Trial | Overview, Content, Performance, AI Insights | Last 60 Days |

An active trial gets the same Analytics access as **Pro**, so you can evaluate all four tabs before subscribing. When a trial expires without a subscription, Analytics switches off.

Tabs your plan does not include are not rendered at all – they are absent from the tab bar rather than greyed out. Date ranges work the same way: on a 30-day plan the dropdown lists only **Last 30 Days**. The **Last 3 Months** and **Last 6 Months** options carry a **Premium** tag.

## The "Analytics Unavailable" screen

On a plan with no analytics, opening Analytics shows a screen headed **Analytics Unavailable** with the line _"Upgrade your plan to unlock powerful analytics insights for your documentation."_, a summary of what you would get – page views and engagement, search analytics, AI insights, performance tracking – and an **Upgrade Now** button that takes you to the subscription page.

The gate is on the page, not on measurement – your docs site is still being measured while you are on one of these plans. That also means the date range is a filter rather than a start date: upgrade to a plan with a longer window and the older figures are there immediately, as far back as Google Analytics has data for the site.

Starter shows a padlock on the sidebar entry

On **Starter**, **Analytics** carries a padlock in the dashboard sidebar and clicking it opens an upgrade prompt rather than the page – even though the plan does include the Overview and Content tabs. If you are on Starter and want the tabs the table above lists, contact [support](/docs/account-settings/support). An active trial does not have the padlock.

## Who can open Analytics

Plan aside, a team member needs the _Analyse Workspace_ permission for **Analytics** to appear in the sidebar. **Owners** and **Admins** have it; **Creators** and **Editors** do not, and for them the entry is removed rather than locked. See [Manage your team](/docs/team-support/manage-team) for the full permission list.
